The romantic beauty of Tuscany & Umbria’s hill towns make civil weddings unique; these two wonderful regions of Italy offer an endless choice of gorgeous civil ceremony venues: the medieval Town Hall palace of Cortona, the gorgeous Palazzo Pubblico in Siena, the Palazzo Vecchio Red Hall in Florence, the ancient Town Hall in San Gimignano, the medieval fortress in Castellina in Chianti, just to name a few.
Civil Wedding Ceremonies are performed in Town Halls or other officially approved palaces and gardens (some of the wedding venues we represent have the official license to have civil ceremonies on site); the wedding is celebrated in Italian by the Mayor or one of the Councilmen with the aid of an interpreter (required by law - I may be hired as ceremony translator in English, German, Spanish) and lasts about 20 minutes. At times civil ceremonies are possible at different locations approved by the Italian authorities under special circumstances - ask me for more details.
Many times the processing of wedding papers and the legalities involved are the most stressful and challenging part of wedding planning. Requirements vary according to the couple’s nationality, therefore a professional support on site is of vital importance to obtain the right documents in due time and have a valid civil ceremony. See here a list of popular wedding ceremony locations of Tuscany & Umbria and contact me via phone or email to know how I may assist you with your legally-binding ceremony in Tuscany & Umbria.
